Abstract:

Collection contains a large number of family photographs including snapshots, negatives and slides. Images are of vacations, outings, school pictures, group portraits, and family portraits. Many Smithsonian copy photographs of American Indians are found in the collection, as well as many well captioned views of Utah historic sites, including early Salt Lake City views. Copy photographs (mainly portraits) from the Utah Writer's Project are also included. Collection also contains a notebook with numbered list of views. Also, 1 original carte de visite portrait of Orrin Porter Rockwell and one carte de visite view of Brigham Young's house, both by Savage & Ottinger.
